Gaming with Scratch - An online workshop for students

If you didn't already know, I have a huge interest in creating video games. To reinforce my skills, I had taught a couple of primary schoolers how to make a game on the Scratch software. Here's their feedback and clips of the games they have made.

The classes were really good, I understood everything that you taught us, and I liked the way you gave a step by step explanation of what we need to do to develop our own games.

Overall really good.

When Ashwin started this gaming session I was super excited and it turned out super fun and understandable. He thought us slowly and sensible which was great because the 5th graders who have not yet learned about integers also could understand.

Thank you for this opportunity, you have inspired us.

I am glad you hosted the Scratch classes during our summer/ COVID-19 break. I loved the class. I had very little idea about Scratch, and I got to learn many new things. Thank you for hosting this class.

Hopefully there will be something more to learn from you.

Thanks so much Ashwin. I never thought I can make my own game and play so fast. The way you explained the X and Y axis and if and forever loops made it very clear for me. Thank you so much.

From Swastika's mom - Thank you so much for taking time off your busy schedule for the kids. Your session gave her a great insight into Scratch. She specifically liked the way you taught the X and Y coordinates and also how to use if condition and loops and the scrolling background. She is thrilled on playing her own make and thank you so much for making it happen.
